About Me.

I have always believed in the importance of good teaching. Students are the social and intellectual life line of any institution and it is our duty as stewards of education to enable them to succeed as they envision. I believe that good teaching and research are complimentary in two ways:

  1. Both require collaboration, clear thinking, and an ability to simplify complicated ideas

  2. As an academic, teaching is a lifelong process where you are privileged to learn from students and colleagues while also being of service to the community. I find fulfillment as an educator when I experience students in their creative flow.

Moreover, I am equally fulfilled when I can bridge the gap and find opportunities for them beyond the classroom. Dance and movement studies lends itself to develop a broad range of interests and my hope is to empower my students to figure out who they want to become.
